How to Transfer a Legitimate Connected Product

What happens to the ownership of a Legitimate Connected Product when it is sold or gifted to a new owner?

If you ever sell or gift your Legitimate Connected Product you'll need to transfer ownership of your Legitimate digital experience so the next owner can access the exclusive content.

  1. Scan the Legitimate Tag by by bringing your phone in close proximity with the Legitimate Tag.

  2. Click on the web browser notification that pops up on your phone

  3. Tap the "Item Details" button

  4. Select the "Reset and Transfer" from the screen that pops up (as shown below)

  5. Once the screen changes and reads "Transfer Initiated" your ownership has been removed from the item.

  6. The next owner will need to scan the Legitimate Tag again with their smartphone and unlock their digital experience
